Beautiful park with silo mural of Harriet tubman . Bathrooms are atrocious. Jc needs to do better. I cant imagine kids having to use tbose nasty porta potty 😫

Really nice park to hang out with friends at. If you come at the right time, you see a really nice view of NYC right at sunset I visit this park with my friend to play tennis and most times its very easy to get a tennis court. Worst case is waiting 30 minutes for a group to finish. Highlights: * People are friendly and I felt safe in the park especially with familiar sites like the guy selling drinks in the cooler to the kids playing on the field and the hot dog cart next to the tennis court * No need to get a permit just to play tennis. In NYC you have to pay 100 bucks a year for a "permit" to play tennis and if you do get a court, you only get 1 hrs of play maximum. Here I've played 2-3 hours of tennis at no cost with no one else waiting for a court * Getting to the park from JSQ is fairly inexpensive Cons: * Occassionally a group of people who ride motorcycle on the wide sidewalk and revving the motor. It can get annoying and I dont know if anyone enforces that.

Great vibes and amenities with live entertainment across the ice cream shop. The weather was perfect for outdoor activities and the atmosphere was good!

Berry Lane Park in Jersey City has all the features of an urban park oasis; it has basketball courts, tennis courts, a skate board park, a field for soccer, football, and baseball. It also has a great playground for children to play with sprinklers for the kids to cool off on a summers day. This summer, at the Berry Lane Park amphitheater the Jersey City Recreation and Cultural Department is sponsoring “ The Berry Lane Music Series” on Thursday Nights from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Each concert offers live music by a different group offering a wide ranging selection of music styles from R&B, Jazz, Funk, Soul, and Pop. Parking is free on the street. Bring your chair or sit on the hill bring you picnic or you can buy food from the food trucks. This past Thursday 7/18/2024, Bobby Harden and his band had the whole park clapping, singing and dancing along with him. What a great time was had by all, especially the birthday girl who Bobby Harden centered the performance around. Come out and enjoy the music in the park.
